Construct — A Brilliant Online Visual Layout Editor

Developed by Christian Montoya, Construct 0.4 (BETA) is a cool visual layout editor based on Blueprint CSS Framework.

You can use Construct to:

  • Create a layout with containers and columns.
  • Expand/contract those columns and toggle class=last.
  • Give an ID to any container or column.
  • Generate the clean, final markup for your layout.
  • Generate corresponding CSS for that layout which is compact, only has the classes you used, and also generates perfect, clean rulesets for the IDs you created.

SEO Plugin For Opera

OperaThere are so many cool SEO extensions for Firefox but it’s the first time when I’ve come across an SEO plugin for Opera. SEObar is a powerful SEO tool for Opera users. It can do a few neat things:

  • Highlight nofollow, noindex or external links (with different colors).
  • Display the Alexa rank and Google PR
  • Display DMOZ and Yahoo! Directory data
  • Show the number of pages indexed in Google, Yahoo! and MSN. It also displays Yandex (Russian SE) data.
  • Display the number of backlinks (by search engine).

The information is displayed in the SEObar’s panel and the browser’s status bar. Visit the SEObar site to find out more info about this handy JavaScript file.

WordPress Plugin — Raw HTML

Raw HTML is a WordPress plugin that allows you to put any code or script in your posts and display it to the visitor unmodified. Note: The plugin is new and I’ve not tested it on any of my blogs so use it at your own risk.

Myoats – An Addictive Drawing Tool

First of all, Happy New Year, dear readers! May the year 2008 bring lots of happiness and success for you and your close ones!

I’ve recently been taking rest from blogging but still active on a few social bookmarking sites, including StumbleUpon. Yesterday I stumbled upon Myoats, a website that allows you to create simple or complex designs, shapes and patterns. Here is an example of what you can draw in 2-3 minutes:

See? I was just testing the tool and it took me less than 3 minutes to draw this. This tool is pretty addictive and can be pretty useful for your next design projects. Me? I’m gonna use this tool mainly to create complex patterns and futuristic designs. The designs that you create using Myoats can be:

  • Downloaded as an image.
  • Downloaded as a transparent png.
  • Saved to your personal account, which allows for editing and re-saving.
  • Made into a wallpaper

The re-saving feature allows you to edit an existing drawing and save it as a new file. The site also allows you to rate designs drawn by other designers. Oh, the site is free to use so feel free to join and draw as much as you like.
