Money For Nothing is Seth Godin’s new ebook for people who have more talent than cash.It turns out that the new playing field enforced by the search engines is eliminating many of the shortcuts that used to be effective. In other words, the best way is the long way. The long way is to create content that is updated, unique and useful. Again and again we see that sites that do all three manage to get more than their fair share of traffic. So, I guess the title of the ebook is a bit misleading. The clicks don’t cost money, but they do take effort. That’s good news for people who have more talent than cash.

[WordPress] Filter Adult SPAM
If you use WordPress as your blogging platform and tired of receiving tons of viagra and related SPAM, bot generated comments, make use of the WordPress Comment Blacklist feature. You can find this feature in Admin CP >> Options >> Discussion.
You can use this feature to stop almost 95% SPAM messages. I’ve been using this option for past couple of months and find it pretty helpful. Just add ‘viagra’ and similar words in the Comment Blacklist box and see the magic!

Comments Disabled For Now
Hey guys! I want to let you know that I’ve disabled comments on this blog for maybe a few days/weeks/months/years.. because currently, I’ve no time to take care of the comments being left by both ‘good’ and ‘extra bad’ types. SPAM bots are getting aggressive but I’m a human. I’ve too many other things to do.
Related News: Some a$$h013$ have been trying to deface this blog for past couple of days and I’ve been watching. They’re doing good in a way because it seems like I’ve completely ditched my old profession (network security).
Please hold your horses while I do some security exercises. I appreciate your comments and will do my best to open the comment forms as soon as possible.

So here is another WordPress related news. Donncha just posted over at his blog that WordPress MU 1.2.5 has been released and you can download it from the official WordPress MU download page.
This is a security release so make sure that you upgrade to the latest WP MU version as soon as possible.

Alright, folks! It’s time to upgrade your WordPress blog, again. WordPress 2.2.3 has just been released and since it’s a security and bug-fix release for the 2.2 series, upgrade is highly recommended.
